Embrace have just completed the installation of one of the largest in situ building wraps ever seen in the UK at The Store in time for their hosting of London Fashion Week and the London Fashion Week Festival.
The Store at 180 The Strand, London WC2R is an iconic brutalist building in the heart of London and home to London Fashion Week this year. The Store is now being expanded with a complex of studios and creative spaces along with renovation works to the front façade and as such unsightly scaffolding would be visible during the London Fashion Week events running between 17th and 26th February in total – a key period when all eyes would be on the building.
Due to the nature of the works a full scaffolding had been erected – potentially meaning visitors and reporters alike would have been faced with the prospect of ugly metal scaffolding and wooden hoarding, or nasty white scaffold sheeting or netting.
And that’s where Embrace came in. Working within an unbelievably tight timescale of just three weeks we were able to install a giant scaffold banner to hide the works and create a massive impact for all of the right reasons with our timeless black PVC outfit. And despite its huge size the final banner looked as if it had been steamed and pressed to perfection, ready for all of those photographers!
The final banner covers two elevations of The Store and measures a whopping 2,220 m2 – equivalent to almost 50 of the Routemaster buses that pass by along in front of it every day.
When hosting an event as world-renowned and famous as London Fashion week you absolutely have to look your best, and that is what we delivered at the Store Studios in double-quick time.
