Spectacular grandstand wrap featuring Santander

Nothing beats the excitement of the British Grand Prix! And that rush is further heightened if you are a part in the proceedings. Embrace have rejoined forces with Silverstone to create something monumental: a colossal, printed grandstand wrap for Santander, the Official Sustainability Partner at Silverstone. Embrace wrapped the Luffield Corner Grandstand with the Santander Edge account. The new grandstand is a real focal point for motorsports fans arriving and converging at Silverstone.

As grandstand wraps go, the printed mesh wrap is a real whopper, measuring 105 metres wide and 6 metres high along the rear of the stand. Due to the sheer size of the install the wrap was executed as two separate pieces before the Embrace experts created the illusion that the wrap is just one banner. To do this seamlessly we printed a near-invisible vertical Velcro cover strip to hide the central ties & fixings. In addition, the two sides of the grandstands are wrapped with Santander’s messaging too. Finally, to deliver the super-premium dressing a network of 2.4-metre-high red mesh panels were also installed to run along the bottom of the grandstand to mask the underside of the structure.

With fifty-two laps making up the British Grand Prix, Embrace increased that number tenfold and have funded the planting of 520 new trees into the global forest as part of the ongoing Embrace sustainability pledge. On removal of the wrap the client has a range of sustainable options including to reuse the banner next year or have the wrap sent to waste to energy or waste to recycle with FESPA Certification.

Greg Forster, Managing Director at Embrace Building Wraps, said:

We are delighted to be invited back to Silverstone to deliver such a high-profile grandstand where the wrap will be seen for the first time at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix 2024. The British Grand Prix is so much more than a race with lots of action on and off the track, so on-site branding is a dynamic way to connect with the fans.

A huge thank you to everyone in the “Embrace Collaborative” who made it all possible across the operations, print and install team.

The wrap will remain in places for the rest of the season engaging with motor sports enthusiasts for the calendar events planned up until September.
