Princes House
THE DEVELOPMENT Princes House is located in the heart of central London in Westminster on the Kingsway, just a stone’s throw from Covent Garden and the Royal Opera House. E&O Group were developing the early 1920’s building into a total of 54 private and serviced residential apartments, whilst maintaining the stunning neoclassical stone frontage.
THE BRIEF There were two distinct phases to this particular project. The first was to conceal the unsightly building works with giant scaffold banners, whilst leaving open access to the gantry, winch system and waste chute. The second phase was to cover the ply hoarding on street level with a printed DiBond image of the lower floors, standard some 8 metres tall – the tallest ever in London and triple the usual height. This would then be used to promote the re-developed property
THE SOLUTION Embrace Building Wraps were appointed to execute both parts of the brief. We installed simple, plain scaffold banners to three elevations and multiple tiers to accommodate the original front face of the building, leaving exposed access points as required by our client. Later, we delivered the tallest DiBond graphic to hoarding that London has ever seen. This featured a realistic one-to-one image of the ground floor along with advertising the revamped Princes House property. Standing some 8 metres tall and running the full 24 metre length of the building, this provided a high impact advertising space for the development.
With projects in central London we always have to be mindful of the high level of traffic and interest, but with our wealth of experience working on similar projects throughout the capital, of course that is no problem for Embrace.
